Bellevue Real Estate

Welcome to Bellevue

Bellevue is the 5th largest city in Washington and is known for being a hub for tech jobs, highly rated schools, retail centers, and a downtown skyline of gleaming high-rises. Not only does Bellevue offer the amenities of a large city, but also has nearly 100 beautiful parks, a vast network of trails, and woodsy neighborhoods for those that want to live close to the city but have that more outdoor Pacific Northwest feel.

Bellevue spans more than 33 square miles between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish. It is just East of Seattle and a short drive to the Cascade Mountains. In 1867 coal was discovered in Coal Creek where settlers began to mine and log the area. In the 1880s the village on Meydenbauer Bay was named Bellevue (“Beautiful View” in French). In the 1940s the first bridge across Lake Washington to Seattle brought an influx of new residents to Bellevue Square, one of the first suburban shopping centers in the country. In 1953 the city incorporated and has continued to grow into the diverse and high-tech city we know today.
